Water Rocket

Overview

Teams design, build, and launch water-powered rockets using plastic bottles, water, and pressurized air. The goal is to achieve maximum altitude while following safety guidelines. Judging considers design innovation, construction quality, and flight performance.

Rules

• •Rockets must use only water and air pressure—no chemical propellants.
• •Maximum bottle capacity and pressure limits apply as per event rules.
• •Launch must be from a designated pad; retrieval area must be clear.
• •Teams are responsible for their own safety equipment (goggles, etc.).

• •Pump or launcher
• •Parachute or recovery system
• •Team of 2–4 members
